Ok, so they didn't fix the stupid new registration system or grad planner, but after spending some more quality time with my old fashioned pencil and paper, I finally put the puzzle together!!!! Ben can graduate in July! He is going to drop his clusters (2 - 12 credit hour groups of classes- one was a premed cluster, the other a sports medicine cluster-- and yes, this is something BYUI just made up) and return to a minor in Chemistry. This lets him drop 2 classes he was planning on taking, and with some crafty rearranging, we got all the classes to fit with only one 15 minute overlap, and those two classes are in the same building, practically next door to each other. That should work. Fingers crossed. It also works out that there are no crazy semesters of 19 upper division credits- just 15 and 16. And when Ben is done, not only will he graduate, but he'll have all the prerequisites he needs to be accepted into medical school, which is very good since that's the entire point of an undergraduate degree.
Finally, my migraine is gone. And they lived happily ever after.

Yeah, graduation is a good thing! And yes, I believe that the schools intentionally set up a system that would require perpetual education. It is, after all, in their best interest to keep you as a student.
