My new wish for Christmas? A king size bed. We've had two children sleeping in our bed nearly every night this week. Turns out Korban is teething. Booo. He is waking up to eat an average of three times a night. I tried just comforting him and getting him to go back to sleep, but he says he must eat or he will scream very loudly. I don't know what Kennady's deal is. We think her ears are bothering her, but when we took her to the clinic, there wasn't an ear infection yet. She has gotten smart though, because instead of whining at us (which makes us get up and put her back in bed), she's just been crawling into our bed, and we're so tired we haven't noticed until she's asleep, and then we don't dare to try to move her, in fear of waking her and Korban up.
Korban is definitely on the go now. He just crawls around all day, mostly trying to get whatever Kennady has. He likes to pull things off shelves. The one nice thing is that, unlike Kennady, he is very entertained by toys. He especially likes to bang on things. I guess because he's a boy? He also is becoming not so interested in baby food. We were all eating hamburgers and he had baby food, and he looked at his food, looked at Ben's hamburger and started screaming. He wanted a bite. He has no teeth. Ben did let him lick the hamburger, and he got a good mouth full of guacamole. He loved it. So we got a mini food processor and last night he got to eat spaghetti with the rest of us. Only his spaghetti didn't look as appetizing. Pre-masticated.
Mom Nelson is coming to visit. Today or tomorrow. We haven't told Kennady yet, and she is going to be so surprised.
Can you believe Christmas is in less than 2 weeks? I am pretty much no where near ready. Korban doesn't have a stocking yet. There isn't a single present under our tree. For some reason, I don't think anyone really minds. Ben will be getting his tonsils out two days before Christmas Eve, so it should be an interesting Christmas. My parents are flying in Christmas Eve. There are plans to maybe go to Idaho, and Ben and Mom are supposed to go skiing. We'll have to see how Ben is feeling.
