Dearest Baby Boy,
Please consider this your official eviction notice. You have one week to vacate on your own, or we will seek alternate ways to remove you from the premises. I know you're pretty comfortable in there, and perhaps a little afraid to come out. Rightfully so. I'm assuming this is because you've been able to hear everything going on here for some weeks now. Or maybe because you've been squished by a two year old one too many times. Don't worry, you'll survive. Also, Mommy is a little nicer when she's not really pregnant.
We've got a place for you to sleep now, and since you'll be pretty much colorblind, you won't even care that it's pink and girly. With any luck that pink carseat will expire before you're big enough to use it and you'll get at least one brand new thing. You also have clean clothes folded and put away in your drawers. Your very first outfit is your very own, bought especially for you, as long as you don't weigh more than 8 pounds or so. If you do, well, um, we'll have to find something else. Daddy also promises to get out your carseat and find and wash a blanket or two before you have to come home. We may not get that rocking chair refinished on time since it keeps raining, but we have a big comfortable rocker/recliner out in the living room.
Your tiny diapers arrived from Amazon, along with some binkies and bottles. While we haven't made specific arrangements for your brother and sister, we have about a dozen people in waiting, and as there are no upcoming holidays, we're pretty sure we've got it covered. We've also got Grandma Nelson coming in next week to help out. And when she leaves we have Grandma and Grandpa Ellis coming for a week or so. Another reason you need to come soon? Daddy is going to be gone for awhile in October interviewing at some medical schools. It would be really nice if we had feeding established and a semi decent sleep pattern in place by then. Also, we've talked about this before, but we really need you to be a good sleeper, ok? A household with one terrible sleeper is barely manageable, but with two, well we might turn into the crazy house, and you wouldn't want that, would you?
While I can't promise much, I can promise that you are loved! We're excited to meet you soon, one way or another.
Love,
Your Mother
